Portman Park project
In collaboration with Westville Pre-Primary and the Westville Conservancy, Sprout Kids joined hands in the upliftment and ongoing care of a garden space at Portman’s Park — a beloved local park in the heart of the Westville community.
Together, we dug in, cleared, weeded, prepped, and revitalized the garden area with thoughtful landscaping and indigenous planting.
Our focus was on creating a vibrant, educational, and kid-friendly Butterfly and Bug Garden, featuring an indigenous flowerbed designed to showcase local plant life and attract birds, butterflies, and beneficial bugs — encouraging biodiversity in a welcoming outdoor space.
This project is all about cultivating an inviting and educational garden within a safe, beautiful environment where families can enjoy picnics, children can play, and the community can reconnect with nature.
At Sprout, we believe in teaching kids the value of giving back, caring for the planet, and taking pride in their environment — one garden at a time.
